The idea of creating a Christian Rock Legends site started out like many good ideas do in "half-serious, this would be kind of cool" talk between me and my twin brother. We had been recent converts to Christian Rock, gaining interest following a "trial-by-fire"; with little exposure to the genre, we went to our first concert in Dallas and listened to Seventh Day Slumber, Kids in the Way, and Skillet rock for a good three hours. The ringing in my ears would eventually fade, but my passion for Christian Rock did not.

As we immersed ourselves in the beautiful but controversial genre we encountered legions of Christian Rock fans who introduced us to a huge amount of bands we'd never even heard of. As our CD collection grew, we couldn't help but wonder at the lack of cohesiveness concerning our newly found favorite bands. We realized that there was a gigantic hole in the Christian Rock scene that needed to be filled: a place that recognized and rewarded the greatest Christian Rock bands. Thus the Christian Rock Legends was begun and the Circle of Honor where the greatest will be enshrined until the Lord returns.

The purpose of this site is to give recognition to artists who have been categorized as Christian Rock or one of its related genres and have made significant contributions to this field, as judged by our committee. Every calendar year, bands in each of the three past decades (currently the 70's, 80's and 90's) will be inducted into the Circle, as well as individuals whose contribution to Christian Rock has been above and beyond. We also will be giving out the Christian Rock Legends Award in several Rock categories to those bands and contributors that stand out each year.
